The
Clan Wars: According to legends, The Tycosian valley was once the
home of many great dragons this story contains the writings of the last
known recorded history of Dragons
in Tycosa and will maybe give information of why the majority of dragons
seemed to have disappeared from this land. Long ago there were once two
clans of dragons in Tycosa there was the fire clan which lived upon the
mountain of Calakos they consisted of a small group of dragons and then
there was the nearby larger wind clan of Mt. Tyfone. These two clans lived
prosperesly on seperate sides of the valley and were usually peaceful to
each other.
But
then one day a massive fire broke out in the Lycona forest and much of it
was burnt down. This lessened the avaliable prey and the two clans had less
food often having to leave the valley to find their food as
result of this. The leader of the wind clan a yellow dragon named
Taralu blamed the fire clan. The leader of the fire clan a black dragon
named Katanis of course blamed the wind clan in return. Normally the two
clans would have negotiated rather then argue about such minor things as
territory but the hunger and starvation soon grew rampent and they were all
very angery. The two clans would often have confrontations and battles
mostly because the valley didn't have enough prey for both of the two clans.
Eventually
it was decided that two dragons from each clan would meet for negotiations
they were Grandaru and Kantanis from Calako mountain and Taralu and Travalis
from Tyfone mountain it was soon apparent that one clan would have to leave
the valley of Tycosa. Meanwhile the battle over the remaining prey continued
many dragons fought great battles against eachother then the four leaders
decided to meet one last time but they where surprised to be interupted when
a messenger a silver dragon named Hadamaru arrived from a far away land. He
spoke that the other dragons of that land were going
to leave arconia and Tycosa to find a new land apparently because of
many reasons some say it was because they were being hunted to much, others
say that drought had killed off their prey either way the fire clan of Mt.
Calakos gratifuly elected to join the other dragons and leave
that region.
Meanwhile
the Tyfone clan being of great wisdom decided that such an exodus would be
foolhardy and chose to stay behind. The Tyfone clan over the years
eventually became to large for their valley and moved to a larger area upon
the mountains of Sycala bordering their original home. These events took
place hundreds of years before this current time and were chronicled within
the legends of the tycosian people. Written as it was read from the text
found within the great towers libary.
